Gary Morgan, a past President of Rotary, is the Chair of the Community Care Centre Board. Being a trained Forester, he held numerous regional land management roles before becoming Chief Fire Officer for 9 years when, in 2000, he initiated and established the multi-national firefighting assistance from Australia and New Zealand to the USA.

After leaving government he became CEO of the Australian and New Zealand Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre before establishing his own national and international consultancy business. Gary is the Chair of the Ministerial Advisory Panel for the Office of Bushfire Risk Management and remains on national forest fire management committees. Recently for the Rotary Foundation, he provided technical forest fire management advice and training for Portugal.

Gary strongly believes that those of us who have been fortunate to have been given wonderful opportunities in life may now through the CCCB provide an opportunity for those less fortunate to take a step forward in their lives.

Emeritus Professor Warren R. Payne AM, Ph.D., FASMF is widely recognised for his substantial contributions to academia, research leadership, and the broader community across Australia.

He has held many executive leadership roles including Vice President of Victoria University and Executive Director of Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre.  He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Ballarat and has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellow for his contribution to Rotary International.

He has led and served on the board of several not-for-profit organisations and currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Community Care Centre Ballarat.

Rhonda Svensson is the Managing Director and co-owner of Signature Software and Business Enabled.  Rhonda has over 25 years of experience in management, business development and product creation.   Rhonda also has a bachelor’s degree in business.

Rhonda’s ethos is that no one can achieve their full potential until given a chance and that is why she was drawn to Community Care Centre Ballarat.

Rhonda and her family support numerous local organisations and are excited at the prospect of making a positive contribution to the Ballarat community.

Phil is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Business Administration. Throughout his career, Phil has worked with high-performing teams to build successful and sustainable businesses. He believes that strong organisations are built through aligning the needs of customers, suppliers and employees, creating positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

Phil brings to the Board a combination of financial expertise, commercial acumen and strategic leadership experience. He is passionate about supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference in their communities and is proud to contribute to the work of the Community Care Centre Ballarat in improving the lives of those it serves.
